The lake is available for private hire all year for groups of up to 4 Anglers. See here for prices which start from £1000 per week or £500 for 3 days, this includes:

• exclusive use of the lake
• tea & coffee making facilities
• free use of huts on the swims (2 with electric points & lighting) - no bivvies allowed
• access to bathroom & kitchen facilities with fridge
• free use of electric sockets for charging phones, etc 

You are of course welcome to bring your own fishing equipment & bed chairs or these can be provided at a small extra charge.

Breakfast & 2 course dinner can also be provided on request for £25 per person/per day (sample menu) . Meals can be served beside or in one of our indoor or outdoor dining areas.

We do also have a bait boat for hire, bait for sale and some other extras at very reasonable prices.

The lake has 5 designated swims with wooden huts on each which provide shelter from the weather, storage space for your gear and a place to sleep when night fishing. There are some other more natural swims along the north bank and on the dam.

We allow a maximum of 4 anglers with 3 rods each. The fishing doesn't really require fancy rigs with standard bolt rigs working pretty well. Although man made the lake is very old (pre 1800) and has had little fishing until recently. The bottom is mainly silt with some sandy areas and virtually no weed. There are very few obstacles and the margins are cleared of branches and debris twice a year.

The provenance of the additional stock was thoroughly researched to ensure they are mainly growing fish with excellent potential.

As the lake is fished relatively infrequently the fish are superb quality and fight ferociously making good sport as well as looking great.
